Wolfheart Announces New Album “Kings Of The North”


HEART OF A WOLF have announced a new album!

Title Kings of the NorthFinnish melodic death metal band’s next album follows 2020s Karelian Wolves and 2021 Skull Soldiersand is slated for release in September this year, via Napalm discs.

Talking about the next album, the brains of the band Tuomas Saukkonen said, “after Karelian Wolves it made a lot of sense to keep writing themed albums, but this time I wanted to travel much further in history than WWII and went straight to the tales of the creation of the Norse world, the ancient gods of north and majestic nature. The colorful theme also inspired me to write the most musically diverse music HEART OF A WOLF album and also brings the greatest variation of vocals than ever before, putting Lauri and Vageliss under their well-deserved spotlight.

Along with the new album announcement, the band released a new music video for the first song taken from the upcoming album; Ancestor. The new song features a guest appearance from KILLSWITCH COMMITMENTit is Jesse Leach.

Speaking of the new song, Saukkonen said, “Finnish mythology is full of Norse gods, tales and beliefs, but there is only one king of the forest. And because of that, a song about this feared and honored beast is an ideal debut single. Musically varied, from explosive rhythms to majestic choruses with captions Jesse Leachtaking the song to a whole new level and lyrically diving deep into the theme of the album.
