Atlantic Highlands, in Monmouth County, has just entered the record books with its youngest residents.

Atlantic Highlands Primary School joined children around the world last Tuesday in an attempt to have “the most children singing simultaneously and the most children signing a song” at the same time, according to ahherald.com .

The video of Tuesday’s attempt at school has now been released, and I have to say it’s pretty amazing.

According to the Atlantic Highlands Elementary Schools Facebook page, “The Big Sing” entered the record books with more than 350,000 students participating around the world.

I am delighted that my two sons were able to participate in this attempt.

The one thing that would have made this even more epic for New Jersey? Get the Garden State ensemble to attempt this and hold the record for “The Big Sing” for most children singing simultaneously in one region of the world (that region, of course, being New Jersey).

But for now, let’s celebrate with the children and staff of Atlantic Highlands Primary School their success in playing a part in this global endeavor. Congratulations to all.
