Father of band presenter rescued from collapsed building in Miami



The father of Band TV presenter Joanna Trepto was rescued from the rubble of a collapsed building on Thursday (24) in Miami, United States.

Through his profile on the social network, the journalist thanked God for having saved his family and spoke of a “miracle”. According to the communicator, the head of his family had lived in the collapsed building for 20 years.

“Thank goodness my family was saved. My father, his wife and his dog are doing well. A miracle. The building where he has lived for almost 20 years has collapsed. His apartment didn’t even go down 5 meters. . What a miracle. The firefighters find survivors of this tragedy. How sad, my God, ”the presenter wrote on her Twitter profile.

Joanna Trepto also thanked the messages of support they received and said 51 people are still missing.

“It’s hard to talk about a miracle with the potential for so many deaths. My father and my wife are doing well. Very shaken up. I just wanted to be closer. Neighbors, people they’ve known for so long. The children next to me. ‘I saw you grow up. God, ”he tweeted.

A 12-story building partially collapsed today in Miami, Florida, United States. According to reports, firefighters managed to save 35 people. However, a woman had to amputate her leg to be extracted from the rubble, and at least one other person died.

According to officials, half of the building’s 136 apartments were destroyed. At least two of those rescued must be hospitalized.

The cause of the reported incident near Surfside Beach is still not known. The Miami-Dade Fire Department dispatched more than 80 fire and rescue units to the scene.

It was also not confirmed how many people were living in the building or how many were at home at the time of the collapse, but a rescue team spoke of “many casualties”.
