Mayhem + Watain announce North American tour in 2022

Spring is usually the time when things start to bloom and the sun starts to shine a little brighter, but spring 2022 will provide a somber presence as the seasons change. This is because black metal legends Mayhem and Watain are about to travel to the United States for their “The Sanguine Sodomy of North America” trek.

It’s a powerful bill with Norwegian and Swedish outfits coming together to bring a night of sheer striking presence to stages across the US and Canada. And if that weren’t enough, Midnight’s blackened speed metal punks will open the show.

Watain has just finished recording his seventh studio album, which is slated for release in Spring 2022 via Nuclear Blast. Mayhem, meanwhile, recently released the Atavistic black disorder / Kommando EP last year, after 2019 Devil full length.

In a collective statement, they explain: “Mayhem and Watain are delighted to announce that what will become known in history as” Blood Anal of North America “is scheduled to take place in the spring of 2022, with our two groups. to and with the infamous Midnight joining us as special guests. We hereby invite all of our North American friends and enemies to celebrate the return of darkness and evil to your lands, and to join us in which is destined to become a legendary Hell of a visit! “
