Ministry celebrates release of moral hygiene by sharing exuberant new clip for

To celebrate their brand new album Moral hygiene, industrial metal band Ministry have released a new music video for their single “Disinformation”.

The intense music video explores the dangers that come with consuming mass media and the complicity that results if viewers don’t try to critically engage with the information they receive. Ministry presents this topic by turning into black-and-white images of the past with clippings of jumping band members tearing apart, quotes from Donald Trump, and disturbing images of organ surgery.

Ministry’s backing track sets the pace for the hectic music video with a steady headbanging drum beat alongside deadly guitar riffs and powerful vocals. “The new normal, a taste of what lies ahead / The human race probably won’t survive / We can’t go back because the past is dead / We can’t move on because we are buried alive,” said the band sounds off playing in the awful importance of the track.

Moral hygiene marks the 15 of the groupe studio album and features some of their strongest tracks to date. The release of 10 tracks follows their previous studio album AmeriKKKant which came out in 2018.

Ministry recently rescheduled its U.S. tour for spring 2022, which will also feature iconic sludge metal band The Melvins and stoner rock band Corrosion of Conformity. In August, the band released a new cover of The Stooges’ “Search and Destroy” with Billy Morrison.
