When Mole finds the courage to quit his spring cleaning and step out of his hole to explore the riverbank, he had no idea what adventures awaited him. With his beloved home threatened by the notorious Weasel Chieftain and his band of sinister Wild Wooders, Toad must attempt a daring escape leading Mole, Ratty and Badger into a series of misadventures and a heroic battle not just to retake Toad Hall, but to save their very way of life.
Originally scheduled for July 2020, MYTS has had to postpone this fantastic up-tempo family musical twice due to the pandemic. Despite the impact of the pandemic, which has seen many roles recast as many of the original actors have moved on to higher education, Wind in the Willows is shaping up to be a truly spectacular return to the Gatehouse Theater for this talented group of young people. .
The production team has remained the same throughout and is led by director, Sam Simkin, who is a former member of MYTS and has returned to the group in a professional capacity. Joined by Joe Hearson as Music Director and Becky Crookes as Choreographer, this team continues to work hard to bring this wonderful adaptation to life.
A story of friendship and courage, The Wind in the Willows is one of the most beloved books of all time, now brought to life in a fantastical production that promises to delight and enchant all ages.
